Honorary President and President of Honor

Mr. Gilles Patenaude, President of the 16th edition of the Provincial Bantam Tournament of Laval as well as the organizing commitee, wish to pay particular homage to a member of another organization who has been greatly involved in the development of our youngsters, Mr Marcel Dubeau, Honorary President of the Tournament.

Mr. Dubeau played his minor hockey with Ahuntsic for the Elites du Nord and thereafter, was drafted by Saguenéens de Chicoutimi of the Quebec Junior Major League..

He continued his career as head coach for his childern and other youngsters for more than 8 years up to the level Pee-Wee AA in 2004-2005 for the Montreal Maroons.

Last May, his destiny changed following a serious accident on the Jacques-Cartier bridge. This accident unfortunately left him tetraplegic. However, his love for the sport has remained inctact and we were thrilled when he accepted to be our Honorary President.

The official faceoff was taken by his son, Nicolas Dubeau, captain of his team, the Montreal Maroons, in presence of the tournament’s President of Honor, Eric Dazé.
